Carew disclosed that he’s currently consulting when asked on Wednesday about what the residents should be expecting from him as the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election and general elections draw closer.

A source hinted that Carew’s supporters are mounting pressure on him to run for the Kosofe Constituency 1 house of assembly seat.

The Kosofe Post reports that Carew participated in the All Progressives Congress Primary election alongside other contestants for the Kosofe Constituency 1 seat in 2019 and also in the July 2021 Kosofe Local Government Primary Election, respectively.

Meanwhile, the incumbent lawmaker representing Kosofe Constituency 1, Honourable Sanni Okanlawon, has since declared his interest in running for a second term, shortly after the ex-Governor of Lagos State and APC National leader, Ashiwaju Bola Ahmed, declared his presidential ambition a few weeks ago.

The number of bills he sponsored and the motions he moved and their impact over the last 3 years are yet to be ascertained.

However, he has facilitated major road construction, fire station, solar production and installation training, and assisted constituents with Teaching Service Commission and TESCOM jobs. He has also partnered with Fu-nergy on solar production and installation training.

In the last few months, he initiated a scholarship scheme and gave 22 beneficiaries each 100,000.

He also supported the Table Tennis Academy, Inter-school Debates, POS machine and start-up capital support, football competition, constituents on the Teaching Service Commission, TESCOM jobs, solar production and installation, and other initiatives.

Others, less well-known candidates, have also expressed interest in succeeding the incumbent first-term lawmaker, Sanni Okanlawon, and some have even gone so far as to paste posters and hoist banners in strategic locations throughout the constituency to attract residents’ attention.
