Abiru to contest unopossed

Senator Tokunbo Abiru’s second term bid received a major boost on Monday as members of Lagos East Conference 57 and All Progressives Congress LGA Chairmen threw their weight behind his return to the Senate at the lawmaker’s Ikorodu residence.

Following the death of late Senator Adebayo Oshinowo, Abiru emerged as the APC’s 2020 Lagos East bye election candidate, and he went on to defeat the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Babatunde Olalere Gbadamosi, and others.

According to Kosofe Post findings, no other contestants purchased expressions of interest or nomination forms against the Senator.
 
On Monday, Vice Chairman of Lagos East Conference of 57 and Executive Chairman of Agboyi Ketu Lcda, Mayor Dele Oshinowo, led his colleagues across 5 local governments and 11 local council development areas to throw their weight behind a lawmaker dubbed “doing good” for his second term in office.

Also, all Progressive Congress LGA Chairmen across the 16 local council areas affirmed the APC GAC leader in Lagos East, led by Otunba Bushira Alebiosu, alongside other members, Pa. Bashorun Olorunfunmi, Chief Akanni Seriki Bamu, and Former Honourable Commissioner for Finance in Lagos State, Wale Edun, in separate endorsements of the lawmaker for another term.

The party leaders, while reeling out the Senator’s achievements within the space of 16 months in office, said he was the first of his kind in the Senatorial District since the return to democracy in 1999.
 
Barrister O. Oladunjoye, Ashipa Kaoli Olusanya, and H.E Bode Oyedele, Chairman of TACT, were also present.

Majority Leader Sunai Agunbiade, lawmaker Femi Saheed, Pa Oyedele, Suleiman Adeyanju, Lanre Odubote, Dengie Anifowose, Sesan Daini, Victor Alonge, Remi Odunsi, Tayo Odunsi and Dele Ogunsipe.

Party chieftains came from Ikorodu, Kosofe, Igbogbo, Ibeju-Lekki, Epe, Ikosi-Ejinrin, Somolu, Bariga, Ijede, Imota and Eredo.

Pa. Steven Adeola Oyedele, Alhaji Ademola Salami, South-West Agenda for Tinubu (SWAGA) National Secretary and Kosofe Federal Constituency House of Representatives aspirant, Alhaja Kafilat Ogbara, Honourable Busayo Adebayo, Musiliu Aigoro, Alhaji Abubakar Olalekan, and Ibrahim Mustapha, among other prominent APC stakeholders from Kosofe, graced the event.
