Adedeji noted that the state had witnessed unprecedented development under the APC government in the state. He pointed out that when Lateef Jakande inaugurated the Metro line and cargo rail in 1978, the military took over and abandoned the projects. The project was not completed until this administration inherited it. Adedeji appealed to the media to ensure they sensitised the people of Lagos, especially the youths who form the larger part of the voting populace, about the achievements of Sanwo-Olu’s administration.

Adedeji urged the people of Lagos to showcase Sanwo-Olu’s compendium of book of achievements, especially to the youths who outnumber most of us and constitute a larger part of the voting populace. “When you look at their number, they outnumbered most of us and they constitute larger part of the voting populace,” he said.
