Former chairman of Kosofe Local Government, Hon. Ademuyiwa Adedeji, has appealed to Lagos State residents, especially the electorate, to re-elect Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Hon. Sanni Okanlawon in the upcoming March 18 governorship and House of Assembly polls.

At a community stakeholders meeting in Ifako-Gbagada in Lagos on Wednesday, Adedeji said that the governor had done well in the areas of security, education, roads, railways, and other development projects, and deserves to be re-elected for another term in office.

Adedeji also lauded the APC-Candidate for Kosofe Constituency 1, Okanlawon, for his outstanding performance over the last four years in office, urging residents not to vote for the Dubai-based Candidate of the Social Democratic party, Mr. Lanre Carew.

Speaking earlier, Hon. Sanni Ganiu Okanlawon, the lawmaker representing Kosofe constituency 1 and House committee Chairman on Education (Ministry and agencies), highlighted his achievements in road construction, education, health, scholarship, job placements, and empowerment.

He urged residents to vote for continuity, experience, integrity, and practical empowerment, warning them to be wary of money-bag candidates with no experience in governance.

Adedeji observed that the state had witnessed unprecedented development under the APC government in the state, pointing out that when Lateef Jakande inaugurated the Metro line and cargo rail in 1978, the military took over in 1983 and abandoned the projects. The project was not completed until this administration inherited it and completed it after 40 years.

Adedeji also appealed to the Ndigbo, Hausa, and other stakeholders for the continuity of APC candidates in office, noting that the lawmaker has facilitated several visible road projects and sponsored personal programmes to impact constituents’ lives.

He urged residents of Kosofe constituency I to remember the incumbent lawmaker’s landmark Oworonshoki second access road and several roads networks, urging them not to be swayed by financial inducement and cosmetic projects that the opposition recently embarked on a few weeks before the election.

Adedeji urged residents to ensure that they sensitised the people in their community, especially the youths who form the larger part of the voting populace, about the achievements of Okanlawon across the Constituency.

Adedeji said that the engagement of the community was in continuation of the massive mobilisation for APC candidates for the governorship and House of Assembly elections.
