The Olu of Agboyi Kingdom, HRM Oba Monsuru Abimbola Oladega Akinmasa I, has been awarded an international award in Ireland. The Yoruba Progressives in Cork, Ireland recognized the monarch for his contribution to the people in the diaspora and his track record, coupled with his two years’ achievements as Olu of Agboyi Kingdom, Kosofe Awori land.

Accompanied by his wife, Olori Fatimah Oladega, the monarch was honored at a ceremony in Ireland on Sunday. The event was a heartwarming get-together party organized by the Yoruba Progressives in Cork, Ireland.
Expressing his deep appreciation to the organizers of the event, Oba Oladega advised the Yoruba Community in the diaspora not to forget their Yoruba culture, heritage, and respect their national identity by promoting unity among themselves and being good ambassadors of Nigeria.
The monarch has been recognized for his outstanding leadership and commitment to the development of his people both at home and abroad. His passion for community development has been a source of inspiration to many people, and his contribution to the advancement of Yoruba culture and tradition has been commendable.
The award is a testament to the monarch’s dedication and hard work towards the progress of his people. It also serves as a reminder of the importance of recognizing the contributions of community leaders in promoting peace, unity, and development in society.
In his remarks, Oba Oladega thanked the Yoruba Progressives in Cork, Ireland, led by Mr. Aderemi Tony Oki, Mr. Emmanuel Adebisi, Mr. Dele Adeniyi, Mr. Moses Aluko and others for recognizing him and promised to continue his efforts towards the development of his community and the promotion of Yoruba culture and tradition. The award has been received with enthusiasm by the people of Agboyi Kingdom, who have expressed their pride and joy in their monarch’s achievement.
