Former member of the House of Representatives representing Kosofe Federal Constituency, Hon. Yacoob Ekundayo Alebiosu, paid a significant courtesy call to the Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, Hon. Moyosore Ogunlewe, on Monday. During his visit, he lauded the administration’s ongoing progress, describing it as “Progressives work in Progress.”
In an exclusive conversation with Kosofe Post, Hon. Alebiosu shed light on the purpose of his visit. He expressed, “I came to take care of matters within the local government, and of course, I couldn’t pass by without paying a courtesy call to my chairman. Moreover, my visit is also a testament to my support for his achievements over the past few years.”
When questioned about his assessment of Chairman Ogunlewe’s administration, Alebiosu’s response was indicative of his optimistic outlook. “It’s a work in progress, and I’d say it’s a progressive work in progress,” he articulated. Notably, he acknowledged the various infrastructural advancements, particularly roadworks, orchestrated by the council chairman. He firmly voiced his belief that Chairman Ogunlewe is steering the local government in the right direction and acknowledged the dedication displayed by the council chairman.
In a related development, Honorable Yacoob Ekundayo Alebiosu has been designated as the Kosofe commissioner nominee among the 39 individuals whose names were submitted by Governor Babajide Sanwoolu to the Lagos State House of Assembly. These nominees are undergoing the process of screening for the proposed cabinet. Alebiosu’s track record of active engagement in the community and his endorsement of the ongoing developments indicate a promising role he is set to play in the future of Kosofe.
