Chairman of Kosofe Local Government Area of Lagos State, Jon. Moyosore Ogunlewe’s administration has been hailed as a blessing to the region. With an exceptional track record of achievements in just two short years, Ogunlewe’s leadership has rewritten the history of the council.

At a recent press conference, Chairman Ogunlewe shared a comprehensive account of his accomplishments during his tenure. A total of 11 roads have been constructed, breathing new life into communities like Ogundairo Street, Awanatu Street, and Baale Close among others. This commitment to infrastructure development has not only improved local mobility but also enhanced the overall aesthetics of the area.
The chairman’s administration has also been lauded for its thoughtful initiatives. These include the purchase of new buses for various associations, ensuring better mobility for market vendors and efficient dispatching of administrative tasks. The acquisition of vehicles for sundry council assignments and the implementation of comprehensive health care initiatives, such as the “Kosofe Cares” ambulance service, further underscored the administration’s commitment to the welfare of its citizens.
Education, a cornerstone of development, received a significant boost. Over 450 GCE e-pins and registrations were distributed, with additional forms and free tutorial classes further empowering the youth. Adult literacy programs have also been revitalized, addressing the issue of illiteracy head-on.
In the realm of environmental protection, the chairman’s proactive measures to clear canals and drainages have staved off the threat of flooding, ensuring the safety and security of the local communities. Notably, the council chairman has emphasized staff welfare and provided an enabling work environment to encourage productivity.
While acknowledging that more can always be done, Chairman Ogunlewe expressed gratitude to his dedicated team and the media for amplifying their achievements across the state and the nation. He promised to redouble their efforts as they move into the next phase of their journey.
