Highlighting the alarming prevalence of crystal methamphetamine, commonly known as ice, Awofeso underscored its destructive nature, affecting individuals physically, mentally, and behaviorally. He pointed out the deceptive calmness exhibited by users, masking the profound harm caused by this illicit substance.

During his address, Awofeso drew attention to the perilous effects of Colorado, also known as Colos, emphasizing its immediate and incomparable impact. The substance, notorious for inducing an over-high and reactive state, has been linked to road accidents, untimely deaths, and widespread destruction of lives and property.

Dispelling the misconception that drug abuse is exclusive to any socioeconomic group, Awofeso emphasized that it knows no boundaries and can affect individuals regardless of their background. His unequivocal advice to the public resonated: “It’s better to abstain from drugs rather than struggle with drug abuse.”
