Executive Chairman Kosofe Local Government, Hon. Barrister Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe stated that his administration embarked on purposeful and developmental programmes in the past five months, whose purpose is to fulfil the responsibility of his administration, which is to ensure that the member of the community to felt the positive impact of government.
This was stated during the year 2022 budget retreat where they discuss, analyze and reflect on budget performances of last year and to also make in-depth projections into the Year 2022.
This year was the maiden edition for his administration, and the theme was, “budget of inclusiveness” held at Lacasa Hotel, Epe, Lagos State, on, 23rd January 2022.
While delivering his speech, he said this year retreat is expected to bring improvement on their achievements and as such, all hands must be on deck as they embark on another purposeful and laudable projects this year.
“We thank God for all our achievements in the last 5 months and from the feedback we are receiving from the people testifying on our activities as having positive impact on them.”
Hon. Ogunlewe also claimed they have equally resolved to be more proactive in all areas of people’s needs as they make an inroad into year 2022.
“Let me say without fear of contradiction that virtually all important sectors in our local government will receive attention and top priority will be accorded some key areas like, health care delivery, primary education, and road construction.”
He also assured the members that his administration will continue to move forward and bring on board innovative ideas and opinions because that was the reason why they are on the saddle.
“We must be seen as promise keepers who run government of inclusiveness, dedication and transparency.”
The lawmaker declared that as they move to implement the fiscal policy in 2022, there are important areas as well which they shall touch, which include, Streetlight projects, Environmental Sanitation and strict enforcement of environmental laws, Seminars for staff of the local government to be more productive.
Also, skill acquisitions and sporting activities for the youths, Purchase of vehicles for Police and school children, Construction of link Roads, Construction of E Library, staff welfare, and many others.
He urged the community members to cooperate, after which he wishes them a fruitful deliberation towards budget of Inclusiveness.
